SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Thomas Faust Jr., who has served as president of Eaton Vance Corp. since early last year, has been appointed as chief executive and chairman of the Boston-based mutual-fund firm. Eaton closes buy of Schneider’s small systems business unit

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Eaton Corp. said Wednesday it completed the purchase of a small systems business unit from Schneider Electric's MGE UPS Systems for 425 million euros ($612 million). The deal was originally announced on June 21. For the 12-month period ending Sept. 30, the small systems business of MGE reported sales of about 167 million euros ($240 million), said Eaton.

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Eaton Vance Corp.'s board of directors Wednesday approved an increase in the company's quarterly dividend by 25% to 15 cents a share. The dividend will be paid Nov. 12 to shareholders of record on Oct. 31. The board also authorized the repurchase of up to 8 million shares of the company's non-voting common stock.
